Heartfelt Hive Collaborative Art Project (1st - 8th Grade SEAS/I.C./St. Agnes) Springfield Catholic School Art Exhibition at Brick City 2020
Student Art Gallery
4th-8th Grade Artistic Response Project Slideshows - Spring 2020 (See both slideshows below)
The following student artwork is part of the Artistic Response Project, an international postcard art project designed to inspire people of all ages to create and share works of art from the heart in response to the current COVID-19 situation. This is an opportunity for students to use art as a coping mechanism, to create artwork that is meaningful for them, and to connect with other students and artists around the world. Students can choose to mail their personal artwork to an online postcard art gallery to be shared worldwide (see website homepage for mailing address). Students are expressing their thoughts, feelings, and reflections that stem from being in quarantine and about the current COVID-19 situation in a variety of visual ways and art media. Some students are using humor to cope; some are illustrating what brings them comfort or how they're staying strong in their faith; some are using bible verses, prayers or quotes; others are representing their physical space, their emotional state, or disregarding all thoughts & worry etc. Students have done paintings, drawings, mixed media, collage, digital art... To view student artwork from I.C., SEAS, and St. Agnes schools see gallery highlights, slideshow gallery 1 and slideshow gallery 2 below. For more information and to view the postcard art gallery see the
Artistic Response Project Web-site.
